**Scope of Role**:
To ensure management of project materials both company and client supplied Free Issue from receipt up to and including issuance. Conduct and maintain all Tool and plant registers at site and liaise with T&P management for site requirements

**Key Responsibilities of the Role**:

- Maintains records of issues and returns.
- Ensures that daily needs list and priority items are available per schedule.
- Ensure correct procedures for Material receiving at Site are always adhered to.
- To ensure correct storage techniques are used for storing materials including any required preservation.
- To ensure that the stores are kept in an orderly and proper manner.
- To ensure that an efficient delivery service is provided to the project from the warehouse and all documentation is recorded.
- Ensure proper and accurate usage of the company computer system for managing the warehouse.
- Ensure full commitment to the implementation of the procedures.
- To ensure that all external hire of Transport, Plant and Equipment is kept to a minimum and records are kept up to date.
- Generate material reports as required and check for accuracy.
- Ensure stock reconciliation and traceability of materials issued from the warehouse by following the material issue procedure.
- Where used ensure that minimum stock levels are properly accounted for and utilized.
- Ensure excess / unwanted materials returned from site are adequately recorded and accounted for.
- Liaise with relevant person on site regarding any delivery discrepancies and any other matters to be resolved.
- Liaise with the Group Material Manager and coordinate the removal and disposal of excess / scrap materials.
- Maintain standards of HSE and comply with Company’s Health, Safety & Environment procedure/policy.
- Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
- Accountable for accuracy and timeliness of assigned projects.
- Typically receives detailed instructions only on new assignments. Expected to work with only general supervision.
- Determines action to be taken within limits of standard practice / procedures.

**Problem Solving & Innovation**
- Most assignments regularly require problem identification and resolution such as imminent stock outages.
- Recommends solutions to non-recurring problems by analysing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data.
- Anticipates and proactively solves moderately complex problems using internal and external resources.
- Expected to regularly recommend and implement methods and procedures to improve safety, efficiency, quality, cost, etc. within scope of role.
- Any other ad hoc duties as assigned in line with responsibilities from time to time.

**Essential Criteria**
- Directly related experience in Material Control.
- Experience interfacing with internal third parties and sometimes clients.
- Verbal and interpersonal skills are critical for successful interaction with site team to ensure that all requirements are met in a timely manner.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Knowledge of how to operate a store and having proper flow of materials through the stores.
- Ability to consolidate and analyse information from various sources to help in developing Material Control Plans for assigned projects.
- Ability to recommend modifications to the plan to improve efficiency.
- Effective negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills and ability to establish effective working relationships with supply chain subfunctions and intra-company interfaces.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with procurement /material control system.
- Ability to prepare and analyse project reports.
