We are looking for a** Literary Editor** to join our team. As Literary Editor you will contribute to our long-term business strategies and overall sustainability.You will be instrumental in refining our literary endeavours, enriching our content and ensuring the utmost quality.
**WORKING IN AN INTERDISCIPLINARY TEAM THIS POSITION WILL**
- Identify, utilise and create* best-practice guidance for the use of AI software in content creation for Verbal programmes to support interns/facilitators.
- Create stories using AI software directly
- Establish an internship/traineeship programme with Third level creative writing departments to support the creation of Verbal Wellbeing & project stories in an effective and efficient manner.
- As part of the programme introduce a time bound editorial process
- With Corporate Services and the Programme department (using both internal and external reviewers) implement and maintain a documented, scheduled programme of external Quality control actions in relation to stories created with AI software
- Maintain & Develop a database of pre-published stories for use in projects:
- Support Programme team with direct story selection when necessary
- Support Corporate Services with the design & development of new online Creative Writing training courses and potential facilitators (with a particular emphasis on Children's literature)
- Look to actively liaise with the Editor of Honest Ulsterman (Honest Ulsterman (humag.co) where the inclusion of the publication can add specific value to the creation of new writing.
- Initiate and draft research proposals with third level institutions,
- Working with the research team contribute to the creation of additional project delivery materials like lesson plans
- **Please note the word create is used advisedly to denote that stories created with AI are not written in the conventional sense and are not for external publication. These stories are related more to project delivery materials than the more recognised sense of an authored output**.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential : Masters in English Lierature
Desired : A PhD degree in English Literature or a cognate discipline.
