You will be working with the Marine Energy
Wales team to implement the communications plan, ensuring communications are consistently
delivered to our stakeholders and members ensuring effective communication on events, meetings,
conferences, as well as strategic and member news and policy.

You will be responsible for delivering the marketing and communications strategy for our
pre-consented Marine Energy Test Area (META) project
ensuring effective delivery of messaging for target audiences.

This is a fast-paced, complex and diverse role, with a broad remit, including media, PR, events
and marketing content and is key to the function of Marine Energy Wales. You will be central to
all the activities, news, projects and plans and you will need to be self-managing your time to
produce daily, weekly and monthly project deliverables.

We are looking for someone who is able to cope with multiple project demands and react quickly
whilst keeping a handle on the bigger picture and helping us to achieve our objectives.

**Tasks will include**:
Implementing and developing the META and MEW communications plans

Liaising with Pembroke Dock Marine project partners to ensure META representation and
promotion of the full Pembroke Dock Marine project

Lead on Communications for the MEW annual conference

Lead on communications for META events

Creating and posting social media content, press releases, newsletters

Producing marketing materials and publications, with input from the team

Point of contact for partners and members to relay and communicate news

Updating websites

Measuring and reporting on the performance of (digital) communications

Coordinate media activities

Using and helping manage contact databases

Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders

Support Communications Manager and wider PCF team in delivering the PCF communications plan

Other duties of a similar level as required

**Skills and experience we are seeking include**:
**Essential**:
Experience working in communications/marketing or related field

Proven & relevant experience in a related sector

Copywriting experience

Well-developed interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills (verbal,
written, presentation)

Organisational skills with experience of organising meetings and events

Experience of engaging and building rapport with and managing a broad range of stakeholders
including community, public and private sectors

Proactive and self-motivated and ability to work independently, with mínimal supervision
& under pressure

Excellent IT skills including social media, WordPress, CRM, design tools

Current driving licence / own vehicle in order to attend remote meetings

**Desirable**:
Strong interest in sustainability and renewable energy projects

Qualification in marketing/communications

Ability to speak Welsh

Facilitation and stakeholder engagement experience

The ability to travel to meetings/events/site visits etc. is a necessary and regular
feature of this post. Own transport required.

The post will involve occasional evening and weekend working.

remain in line with business needs. PCF use a flexi-time/toil work policy. We currently expect
team members to be in the office for 2 days/week.
