**Early Years Apprentice**

**Salary**:£13,348.61 per annum***

**Location: Sandwich, Kent**

**Contract/Hours**:Fixed Term/Full Time (18 months) - 40 hours per week

***The Nursery**

St Bart's has been a part of the Sandwich community for 20 years and we are looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our team. The team offer high-quality education to children up to the age of 11, the nursery is housed in a beautiful Grade 2 listed Manor House situated on a spacious one-acre property. All our children have access to a stimulating and secure outdoor environment where they can engage in exploration and play. The rooms in our nursery are designed to be cozy and welcoming, with ample natural light streaming in. We have a forest school and have dedicated coordinators for physical activities and nutrition. Our staff members are highly qualified, and we provide a range of enriching activities throughout the day, including baby ballet sessions and multi-sport programs. We have a chef who prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily on site. We have strong partnerships with local schools to support smooth transitions for our children, and our out-of-school program offers a convenient pick-up service. At St Bart's, our goal is to create a caring and nurturing environment where children can learn and develop to their fullest potential.

**In the role of Apprentice you will;**
- Work alongside nursery practitioners, helping to support children's development.
- Help plan and set up activities for a range of children with support of the team.
- Develop good relationships with the children and families.
- Daily updates on our online system (famly) to keep families updated.

**What we need from you**:
The Early Years Apprentice job description outlines the requirements of the role. But, the 'must haves' are:

- A genuine interest in childcare and a true passion for working with children
- Patience, a friendly manner, and the ability to communicate with children, young people, colleagues and other adults such as parents and carers
- A commitment to your qualification and the ability to manage work and study

**The Training**

You will be completing an Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship. The expected duration of this course is 18 months.

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will be awarded:

- Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid OR Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Apprentices will achieve an EYE qualification which has been approved to count towards the EYFS level 3 child: staff ratios
