**Responsibilities**:

- Support the measurement and reporting of the business and relevant support functions risk profile, including Inherent risk, control effectiveness and residual risk.
- Lead on risk and control programs to implement increased granularity in risk assessments to support more accurate risk calculations.
- Partner with In-business risk & control teams and calibrate risk differences across products/functions and understand differences in how risks manifest, and define the appropriate risk mitigation requirements.
- Produce team reports for a range of risk committees / forums.
- Understanding of Conduct Risk, Technology Controls, Information Security/Cyber Controls is advantageous.
- Facilitate working group meetings and manage stakeholders across Markets / ICG and Group.
- Work with partners to develop and implement solutions to enhance the Control assessment process and simplify the assessment unit structure.
- Develops procedural implementation and change management process with Operations and Reporting teams to ensure proper governance and controls exist.
- Undertake regulation to policy to control gap analysis and drive improvements to close gaps.
- Monitor control performance, Key Indicators and regular MI to identify areas requiring escalation and remediation.
- Undertake data analysis to drive improvements in the control environment or business processes.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls
- MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus. 5+ years’ experience in financial services.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organizational influencing skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead global team efforts
- Excellent problem solving skills Ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
