**Job overview**:
We are excited to welcome a Health care support worker to become integral in the future development of the HMR Children’s Integrated Community Health Services

You’ll be passionate about what you do and keen to progress in our busy, pro-active environment where evidence-based practice and joint-working is embedded and your CPD is actively encouraged. From your induction and throughout your time here you will enjoy robust management supervision alongside regular team meetings.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will work predominately within the children's community nursing services and Paediatricians clinics but may also utilise their skills and knowledge, by working across other areas of the wider children’s community service as deemed necessary and appropriate by the service lead.
- Assist the nurses and doctors with running the clinics and services.
- Interacting with children with acute and complex health needs and their families.
- Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Undertake skilled clinical tasks following competency-based training, inclusive of measurements of height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, collection specimen samples as directed.
- General administrative duties relating to the clinic including ordering of supplies
- Setting up and maintaining clinic rooms in relation to health and safety and hygiene.
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment in the clinic in relation to health, safety, infection control and hygiene.
