**Position Overview**: As a Specialist Note Taker, you will be at the heart of our mission, responsible for producing precise and comprehensive notes during lectures, seminars, discussions, and off-campus events for students with disabilities. This role is both rewarding and flexible, offering you the chance to contribute to a noble cause while accommodating your schedule.

**Timetable**:
**University of Reading**

**Mondays 9:30 - 16:30**

**Tuesdays 9:30 - 16:30**

**Some Weds 9:30 - 16:30**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Capture the essence of lectures, seminars, discussions, and off-campus events electronically using a laptop or iPad.
- Deliver the notes to students within 24 hours in their preferred style and format.
- Complete and submit necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Approach your work with professionalism, a helpful attitude, and unwavering confidentiality.
- Engage in relevant training to enhance your skills.
- Provide guidance to blind students as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- A commitment to mandatory training is essential.
- Exceptional spelling and grammar skills.
- Ability to create clear, concise, and relevant materials tailored to each student's preferred format.
- Proficiency in IT and access to a computer for typing and formatting notes.

**Terms and Conditions**:

- The hours and days of work for Note Takers are flexible, accommodating student needs and changing course timetables each term.
- The role requires adaptability, as support may not always follow a strict schedule.
- Timely submission of accurate records and time sheets is crucial.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

**Salary**: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week

**Benefits**:
