Exciting opportunity for a talented **Marketing and Communications Officer** to join Northern Ireland’s most respected animal charity. Since 1836 they have delivered essential services such as Veterinary Clinics, Wildlife Rescues, Animal Re-homing and Animal Cruelty Investigations. This is a full-time permanent opportunity.

This is an exciting time for the charity who have ambitious plans to grow and develop through new public campaigns and schools’ programmes. As a key player in the organisation, you will use your marketing ‘nous’, creativity and passion to promote their Vision, Mission and Values to help them achieve their Strategic Objectives.

Reporting to Director of Operations and Development you will help implement the Marketing and Communications Strategy to further enhance the charity profile with the public, fundraisers and donors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Help develop, create and deliver targeted and compelling digital content across social media platforms that will inspire and engage existing audiences as well as build new audiences.
- Maintain social media accounts with organic and sponsored content, responding to queries.
- Monitor and report on website and social media traffic including advertising campaigns using tracking and Google Analytics.
- Develop and maintain the CRM database of donors and supporters.
- Draft newsletters and ezines for publication to members and supporters.
- Maintain and update marketing materials and literature.
- Respond to media enquiries and to arrange interviews with press outlets and journalists.
- Maintain brand assets at a high level (including logos, visual style and photography)
- Help design and place advertisements for the promotion of services/events.
- Liaise with graphic and website designers.
- Compile presentations by assembling videos/slideshows.

You should hold a degree in marketing or communications with at least 1-2 years’ work experience in a marketing, communications or public relations role. You will enjoy what you do and this enthusiasm/passion will be evident in the articles you write for a broad range of channels and platforms. Ideally you should have WordPress experience. CIM membership is desirable.

Client is offering a starting salary of £25,000. Package includes 3% employer pension contribution, 22 days annual leave plus 9 public holidays. 35 Hours per week. Initially based in HQ in Newry, however after probation Working From Home or Hybrid working will be offered. You should hold a Full Clean Driving Licence and full-time access to a car.
