Finance Administrative Assistant

**Job Overview**:
Opportunity has arisen for a part time Finance assistant initially 8 hours per week with potential to rise to 16 hours in the future. This role would suit someone with bookkeeping/ payroll experience looking to fit working hours into other responsibilities.
**Responsibilities**:
- Reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions, ensuring accurate postings to the ledger
- Assisting with the end-to-end management and processing of the accounts payable function including inputting invoices into the financial accounting system (Xero) and processing payments
- Assisting with the management of employee expenses ensuring that these are entered and reimbursed in a timely manner.
- Supporting the accounts receivable process to ensure accurate and efficient income generation.
- Processing employee monthly payroll via Sage
- Ensuring accurate and compliant onboarding, offboarding and updating of employee records for payroll including relevant statutory payroll notifications
- Other ad hoc duties
**Key skills**:
- A proven track record in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office, and accounting software. Experience of Sage desirable.
- Experience of processing payroll
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
