**The opportunity;**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR leader to join a highly successful organisation in Newton Aycliffe.Working as part of the leadership team and reporting into the Directors, the Group HR Manager will lead a team including Talent AcquisitionAdvisor and HR Business Partner and will play a key part in supporting the longer term growth strategy with a strong focus on operational HR activities, recruitment, retention and people development.
Key elements of the role include
- Working as a trusted partner to the leadership team, the Group HR Manager will advise on all people related activities including employee relations, performance and capability.
- Reviewing and updating HR processes and policies to ensure they are fit for future.
- Driving a customer focused HR service that enhances the employee experience.
- Developing the existing team and building a high performing HR team that works effectively in partnership with the business.
- Coaching managers, strengthening leadership capability across the organisation.
- Developing a robust performance management framework to drive high performance.
- Investing in people and development, enabling progression of future talent within the organisation.
- Creating a great place to work, building the reputation in the local employment market for talent across all levels.
- Supporting engagement and wellbeing activities across the Group
The role is based full time in Newton Aycliffe.
**What we are looking for;**
To be considered for this Group HR Manager role, you will be a highly experienced HR Manager operating in a leadership role within a commercial and fast paced organisation.You will have excellent employment law knowledge and enjoy working with a wide varietyof stakeholders in different business areas with different needs and challenges.Strong experience of handling multiple and complex employee relations issues would be highly advantageous.
- We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a strong track record in a commercial business.
- Experience of working within a family organisation or within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
- You will enjoy working within a hands on operational environment with multiple priorities and lots of variety
- There will be an expectation for this role to be highly visible within the business and be based at the Newton Aycliffe site in a full time basis.

Our client is a growing, complex organisation and has multiple sites in the local area and includes manufacturing, retail and distribution.You will have the opportunity to work across all business areas and develop experience in multiple industries.Theyhave a friendly leadership team and a highly experienced HR team within the structure.
