**About the job**:
You will also be required to perform office, court and bail duties to represent the Service, prepare reports for the criminal courts and monitor compliance and adherence to all statutory and non-statutory interventions in order to reduce the risk of criminal exploitation, offending, re-offending and/or harm to children and young people or to the public.

**About you**:
We are looking for someone who is able to assess, support and motivate young people including where levels of vulnerability and risk to themselves and to the public are medium to high.

You will have the opportunity to develop on your already existing knowledge of current legislation and issues relating to children, young people & families including children/young people who offend eg: Children Act, various criminal justice legislation & issues.

We do ask that you have a relevant professional or degree level qualification (NVQ 4) associated with one of the partner agencies (A minimum of 2/8 posts in the service must have a recognised social work qualification) (NB: registered with the General Council of Social Work or UK equivalent if holding a social work qualification)

In addition, you will need to be a car driver to enable regular and frequent visits both within and outside the Borough and provide transport for children, young people, parents etc and be able to work outside normal office hours including evenings and occasional Saturday and Bank Holiday court cover.

Applicants will not be refused posts because of offences which are not relevant to, and do not place them at or make them a risk in, the role for which they are applying. However in the event of the employment being taken up, any failure to disclose such offence, as detailed above, will result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Authority.**
