Senior Health Care Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced healthcare assistant, to lead our passionate care assistants. You must be reliable, hard working, and with excellent communication skills. It is expected that you will have at the least, a good working knowledge of people's care needs and experience of developing person centred care plans.

**Main duties of the role**:
- To lead a team of healthcare assistants to ensure high standards of person centred care.
- To ensure the smooth and efficient running of shifts.
- To work as part of the team, providing personal care to our residents.
- To contribute to the care planning process.
- To maintain accurate records using an electronic care planning system.
- To administer medication as required.
**Requirements**:
- Essential you are reliable, with a kind and caring nature.
- Able to build good, professional, working relationships with visitors to the home, including visiting health professionals etc.
- Highly motivated with a desire to achieve high standards of care for you and your team.
- Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- NVQ Level 3 is preferred, or a willingness to work towards this.
- Previous experience of medication administration (full training will also be provided, with competencies)
- Previous experience of care planning and writing person centred care plans.
- To support the Home Manager in the completion of required compliance/audits as required.
