We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the Borough policy for SEN ensuring that advice given, and practices undertaken are at all times strictly in line with policy, best professional practice and statutory requirements.

You’ll independently provide information and advice on the nature and management of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and co-morbid difficulties in Early Years settings and in Key Stage 1 classrooms. Enable teachers and teaching assistants to differentiate the mainstream curriculum for pupils with social communication needs.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to communicate sensitively and persuasively with a range of professionals and to collaborate with them to ensure the needs of children with ASD are met.

You must have in-depth knowledge of Early Years curriculum, and of SEN legislation and codes of practice.

You’ll have an understanding of PECS and/or TEACCH.

It is vital that you have a Nursery Nurse, NNEB, B TEC, Level 3 childcare or equivalent experience.
