Pay Details: Grade 5, SCP 8 - 12, £24,702 - £26,421

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours

Main Place of Work: Civic Office, Barry/Remote

Temporary Reason: Project based

Join our team as a Junior Business Improvement Partner

Our award-winning Business Improvement team play a key role in helping to ensure that ensuring that projects are effectively scoped and deliver the outcomes that our residents require.

We are looking to recruit a Junior (Associate) Business Improvement Partner to do all of these things as we drive forward a range of improvement projects. Building on the successes so far you would be helping lead the Council’s Business Improvement team alongside colleagues from a variety of departments to identify and deliver opportunities for change that will make a real difference to the lives of our residents.
**About you**
You will need:

- Experience of using MS Office software
- Working in a team
- Writing and presenting reports
- Demonstrates an understanding of the role of a local authority
- Excellent IT User skills
- Excellent communication skills, electronic, verbal and written
- Excellent organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent research and analysis skills
- Literate and Numerate
- Ability to interpret information/data and draw conclusions
- Ability to plan and organise own workload with mínimal supervision
- Prepared to work flexibly to deadlines and under pressure
- Self-motivated
- Prepared to take the initiative or to work under close direction as both scenarios will be experienced in this role
- Demonstrates the drive and potential to build a career in local government.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills able to work with a wide variety of people
- Confident with working with colleagues at all levels of the Council.
- Interest in public services
- Resilient
