**About the Role**:
The purpose of the role is to lead and drive opportunities to drive AI, automation and process improvement across functional areas. We are looking for a consultant to join our team and help us deliver innovative solutions using AI and automation technologies. You will be responsible for analysing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing technology solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity in a secure way.

The role holder will work with key stakeholders through the project delivery process to ensure Ai and Automation technical solutions are managed and delivered to meet requirements and are embedded into the relevant function as usual operation.

As an functional consultant, you will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their needs and challenges, and translate them into clear and actionable requirements. You will also collaborate with the IT team to design, develop, test, and deploy AI and automation solutions that meet the business objectives and align with the organisational strategy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Has confidence and credibility within the business to be seen as a Subject Matter Expert on AI and Automation
- Create and review documentation including specifications, testing approach and creation of end user documentation to support delivered IT solutions in a timely manner.
- Assist the unit test of solutions & provide support and expertise through Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT).
- Use knowledge and insights to proactively seek innovative ideas/products to support project success.
- Evaluate and deliver requests from the business for improvements to existing processes to drive efficiency and value.
- Increased efficiency: By automating manual and repetitive tasks, process optimisation can reduce errors, save time, and lower costs.
- Enhanced quality: By using AI algorithms to analyze data and make decisions, process optimisation can improve accuracy, consistency, and reliability of outputs.
- Improved agility: By enabling faster and more flexible responses to changing customer needs and market conditions, process optimisation can increase customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.
- Higher innovation: By freeing up human resources from mundane tasks, process optimisation can foster creativity and collaboration among team members.

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required**:

- Experienced in working in teams to deliver solutions (from requirements management through to delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to facilitate meetings and workshops, ask relevant questions, and be an attentive listener
- Experience in using AI and automation technologies such as process mining, intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, robotic process automation, etc. Knowledge of business process management, process optimisation, and change management methodologies
- Experience in leveraging AI techniques such as machine learning and natural language processing (NLP), intelligent bots can extract unstructured data from PDFs, images, or handwritten documents
- Experience in Intelligent, NLP-powered bots with conversational AI capabilities which can interact with customers throughout the process, answer FAQs, make recommendations, provide self-service tools such as appointment scheduling or order processing, collect customer feedback, and report customer complaints
- Experience in AI-powered software can help manufacturers optimize processes to achieve sustainable production levels.
