**Description**

Production Planner - Power Device Division

Home-based Production Planner working within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in the Power Device Division of Hitachi Europe Ltd. To provide operational excellence and first-class customer service and demand forecasting planning for a worldwide client base. Reporting to the SCM Team Leader, the Production Planner shall be responsible for handling both pre
- and post-sales customer service, inventory management, including general support to fellow SCM and Sales colleagues. A flexible team player accustomed to working within a dynamic multinational environment.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Understand and analyse customer requirements in order to provide excellent customer service levels
- Ensure an accurate and quick turnaround of entering sales orders within SAP and the subsequent issue of sales order confirmations and management of shipments to customers
- Maintain and control efficient outbound logístical support to ensure customer requirements and On Time Delivery (OTD) targets are met
- Manage accurate and timely inventory forecast and demand planning for customers and suppliers
- Manage accurate creation and distribution of purchase orders to suppliers
- Support management of stock levels by consulting with SCM team members to meet customer requirements and limit HEU liability within pre-defined financial and physical constraints
- Ensure the swift follow up and resolution of customer complaints to secure continued customer satisfaction
- Manage accurate and timely distribution of supplier inbound shipping data to the central warehouse
- Review the forecast vs actual order booking data on a bi-monthly basis and report to SCM lead
- Improve stock turnover rate, minimising slow or dead stock, within inventory guidelines and customer contracts
- Regularly review and initiate improvements to customer-specific processes as part of continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain awareness and provide support to the Sales team of customer planning activities for last time buy/discontinuation product status
- Maintain awareness and ensure adherence to Hitachi Export Control Policies

Skills & Experience
- Client-driven with high attention to detail
- Experience in a customer service and demand forecast planning environment
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise, with a forward
- looking approach to forecasting customer issues
- An organised team player, able to work in a small team but also able to work under own direction
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing market requirements and team needs
- Experience in the electronics industry, ideally within a multi-cultural global corporation, is an advantage
- Knowledge of and a user of SAP, preferably S/4HANA, and with experience in sales order and demand planning transactions
- Flexible and driven individual used to meeting targets and schedules
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with direct and indirect stakeholders of multinational backgrounds and all levels of seniority
- Advanced Excel skills an advantage
