**Interviews to be held on Mondays between 10-3PM**

**About us**:
Sunflower House Residential Family Centre is part of Buckinghamshire Council. It is a Social Care Service which responds to the needs of families who have experienced difficulties providing safe parenting to their children.

The centre provides residential and community-based parenting assessments, intervention, and support, to meet the needs of the most vulnerable young children, predominately between the ages of 0-2, but up to the age of 6 years, whose parents face considerable challenges and difficulties in caring for their families and where the local authority may be initiating care proceedings or where proceedings are already underway.

The centre provides assessments and interventions for parents to be supported and guided whilst being assessed on their capacity to care for their children long term.

All our services seek to maximise opportunities for children to achieve their potential within their families and communities. We may have to recommend that it is not possible for children to remain with their parent(s) and when this happens, we contribute to the thinking about alternative permanent options, which will be identified with the least possible delay.

**About the role**:
You will work as part of a team that encourage and stimulate emotional and social growth by devising and organising family activities, encouraging the Parent and Child to socialise and to join organisations outside the Home.

- Parenting assessments (residential and/or community-based)
- Assessments directed by the family courts
- Viability assessments and assessed contact

- Clear transition plans to live independently if successful in assessment process.

- Be Creative and able to use your own initiative whilst working in a challenging environment.
- Enthusiastic and highly adaptable to changing circumstances.
- Capacity to complete parenting assessments and deliver evidence to court
