**EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW**

This is a fantastic opportunity working as a Tax Business Partner with us at Severn Trent we will want you to support the Group Tax Manager with the VAT Return Process, including management of risk, for the Severn Trent group of companies based in the UK. You will also complete returns & statutory declarations and deal with inspection visits/ requests for information made by HM Revenue & Customs. Stakeholder management is a key aspect of the role as you will look to build effective working relationships with colleagues within Severn Trent and HM Revenue & Customs, advisors and Water UK. Furthermore, you’ll provide timely advice on the practical impact of changes in tax legislation, or changes to the Groups’ activities, business organisation or corporate structure.

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE**
- Represent Severn Trent as a member of Water UK’s Indirect Tax Committee.
- Prepare discussion papers, briefs and responses to consultations as required
- Provide support and advice on the treatment of transactions and the implementation or improvement of accounting systems/processes
- Provide advice on new business and corporate restructuring projects
- Maintain and develop the group’s suite of indirect tax technology tools
- Develop and create efficiencies via For:Sight, our Making Tax Digital platform
- Provide training and support to colleagues throughout the Severn Trent group of companies
