The de Ferrers Academy is a part of The de Ferrers Trust. We are a Multi Academy Trust currently based in Staffordshire and Derbyshire. We consist of 3 Secondary Academies and 4 Primary Academies.
Following on from 10 years as a specialist Technology College, de Ferrers became an Academy in January 2011. It has grown into a large, split-site, co-educational institution catering for the full range of students from ages 11-18. In 2015 de Ferrers became the first school of The de Ferrers Trust (a Multi Academy Trust).
Our vision is to ensure that all the children and young people in our care have the opportunity to fulfil their potential through achieving highly, regardless of their ability or background.

The Assistant Principal should be prepared to lead on aspects of areas such as curriculum development, personal development, monitoring of standards and teacher effectiveness, tracking and analysis of results/data, behaviour management, staff development, training and induction.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Assistant Principal will also be centrally involved in the overall leadership and management of the academy and will help to establish an academy culture that is both nurturing and rigorous.
You will be an established leader, with the skill and vision to realise the huge potential of all-through education. You take overall responsibility for the quality of education of the academy. To do this well you will need to learn quickly, develop strong structures and provide clear strategic direction to the talented staff team.
