**Location: Ormiston Horizon Academy, Turnhurst Road, Stoke on Trent ST6 6JZ**
**Salary: Leadership pay range 9 to 13 (£53,973 to £59,558)**
**Contract: Permanent / full time**
**Start date: 1st September 2023**

**_ The role of Assistant Principal (AP) is a vital one for the Academy. It is a strategic leadership role where the AP leads on a significant aspect of the Academy, with others, to ensure it impacts positively on Achievement across the academy._**
**_ The AP will report to the Vice Principal in charge of Quality of Education._**

Ormiston Horizon Academy is a successful 11-16 secondary academy (part of the Ormiston Academy Trust) with £23 million facilities which are second-to-none. Judged by OFSTED to be a ‘GOOD’ school in March 2018.

As a term of your employment you may reasonably be expected to perform duties of a similar or related nature to those outlined in the job description.
**Variation Clause**
This job description will be reviewed and updated periodically in order to ensure that it relates to the job performed, or to incorporate any proposed changes. This procedure will be conducted by the Principal/Manager in consultation with the postholder. In these circumstances it will be the aim to reach agreement on reasonable changes, but if agreement is not possible management reserves the right to make changes to the job description following consultation.
**Fluency in English**
The post is covered by Part 7 of the immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
