**Assistant Teaching and Learning Administrator - £14.89ph plus hol pay - Central London**

**Start beginning of April 2023 for four months initially**

**THE ROLE**

Acting as a point of contact for both staff and students, the role will support the department/faculty in the professional planning, effective delivery and evaluation of programmes within the student lifecycle. The role will also proactively support an inclusive, caring and supportive student experience.

**MAIN DUTIES**

**Course/Programme administration**
- Assist in recruitment initiatives and publicity including the co-ordination of Open Day events and interviews, as directed.
- Co-ordinate start of session arrangements; assist in the registration of new students, collate welcome packs, safety booklets, timetables and other necessary documentation.
- Assist in booking teaching rooms/lecture theatres.
- Assist in the co-ordination and planning of programme/course timetable, ensuring there are no clashes.
- Allocate students to courses/ programmes/ tutorials/ projects/ placements etc. in accordance with timetable structure.
- Word processing, photocopying and distribution of general and course-related correspondence, course guides, handouts, etc.
- Upload and maintain course/programme content on Moodle and appropriate web pages, as directed.
- Create and distribute registers/attendance lists to academic/teaching staff as appropriate.
- Supporting the dissertation lead with administrative duties.
- Supporting the department’s engagement monitoring process.
- Assist in preparation of correspondence, diary management, enquiries etc, as required.
- Maintain lists of student and staff contacts as appropriate.
- Arrange meetings for other staff within the office as required.

**Student records and enquiries**
- Create and maintain student files - electronic and paper.
- Monitor and record student attendance.
- Collate student evaluation questionnaires.
- Liaise with Student Support and Wellbeing Services in seeking appropriate assistance for students requiring specialist assessments and support.

**Examinations and assessment**
- Provide support on various exam-related tasks including processing of final marks, coordinating and producing mark sheets for examinations, undertaking arrangements for examiners meeting.
- Assist in tracking, collating and coordinating examination questions and solutions, formatting examination papers.
- Co-ordinate coursework receipt, logging in and re-distribution once marked.

**Committees and Meetings**
- Support with servicing committees/meetings, including production of agenda and minutes, as required.

- Administrative work in a busy office environment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills (including accurate grammar, spelling and punctuation).
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of people.

- Ability to enter data accurately and thorough attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £14.89 per hour

- No weekends
