Payroll Officer

**Vacancy Type**: Permanent

**Location**: Liverpool, Merseyside

**Salary**: £30000.00 - £35000.00 per annum

We are currently seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join a dynamic team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment and play a key role in payroll processing and information management.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Handling the onboarding process for new employees, processing exits, and making necessary payroll adjustments.

Calculating statutory payments and deductions such as SSP, SPP, and SMP.

Processing benefits through salary sacrifice and managing pension processing.

Handling Auto enrolment and Assessment.

Submitting RTI submissions to HMRC.

Issuing accurate P45's and P60's.

Managing queries related to pay.

Assisting the Payroll Manager with ad-hoc payroll issues.

Posting the monthly payroll journal.

Supporting the P11D process.

Conducting basic MI reporting.

**What We're Looking For**:
Previous experience in a payroll officer role processing using recognised payroll software.

Confidence in running end-to-end payroll processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Professional customer service skills.

Knowledge and understanding of financial information.

Process-driven with the ability to prioritise and manage workload.

Proactive approach.

Salary Range & Benefits
The salary is competitive paying around £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience. The company also offers excellent additional benefits.
