We are seeking to recruit two Maintenance Operatives to join our busy Facilities team, to undertake a variety of tasks and projects - no two days are the same

Our Facilities team contribute to the successful and safe operation of the Museum by ensuring that the fabric of the building and its exhibits are in good working order.

This role will be based at National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth but there will be a requirement to work at our off-site storage area at Ponsharden.

The role will require undertaking planned and reactive repairs, providing maintenance support for all Museum projects, including the installation of exhibitions.

We are looking for Maintenance Operatives who are able to find practical solutions to problems, using their basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills. A recognised trade qualification is not essential but would be advantageous. It would also be desirable if you had basic awareness of plant machinery.

This is a permanent full-time position, which will require weekend and bank holiday working as part of a rota; part-time hours would be considered, contracted to a minimum of three days each week, 21 hours.
