Please see the attachment for further information.** Nottingham University Hospitals and the University of Nottingham seeks to appoint 1.0 WTE Senior Clinical Fellow in Sarcoma and Complex Upper Tract starting in August 2023. This is a 12 months fixed term post, with timetabled theatre sessions per week and a fellow urology clinics and MDT participation. The post will also participate in the Urology middle grade on-call rota.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting subspecialist training opportunity, suitable for trainees nearing the end of urology training, or already post-CCT. The post will be initially for 12 months, although the timescale may be tailored to the specific needs of the successful applicant.

The uro-oncology service in Nottingham is delivered by 5 subspecialist urological surgeons and extensively covers urological cancer surgery, including open, laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

Applicants will be expected to run an independent uro-oncology clinic, participate in a middle grade urology on-call rota (as described above), attend a weekly uro-oncology MDT, and engage in departmental research and training activities.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent
- GMC Registration with licence to practice or awaiting ID check
- Full ALS Certification
- IELTS core minimum 7.5 with no individual area going under 7.5 or minimum Grade B in all four sub tests of the Occupational English Test

Desirable criteria
- IELTS core minimum 8

Experience

Essential criteria
- Within 6 months of CCT/completion of overseas training
- Demonstrates good knowledge of uro-oncological cancer
- FRCS(Urol.) or overseas equivalent

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
