**PART TIME ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT**

**Introduction**

HMT Care is a medium sized residential care business specialising in the care of people with Huntington’s Disease in Herne Bay. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Manager in the financial and accounting functions of the business. We are looking for somebody to work 8-10 hours a week in the first instance, with the ability to cover absence and holidays if necessary.

**Job Specification**

The position is mainly accounts based but some additional administration duties will be required

The main tasks will include, but are not limited to:
Checking and entering invoices on to Xero

Reconciliation of statements

Credit card reconciliation

Bank Reconciliation

Phone answering

Filing

Answering internal and external financial enquiries from staff, family and stakeholders.

Please note that this position is office based. We are unable to offer hybrid working for this role.

**Person Specification**

**Essential**

Minimum of 1 years prior accounting experience

Good knowledge of Accounts Payable

Experience of using financial software, ideally Xero

**Desirable**

Previous experience within the care industry.

Ability to work flexibly and undertake occasional overtime.

Experience of payroll function and support.
