Band 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator (CAT 3)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator to join the CAT 3 General Surgery team. This Clinical Admin Team covers Breast, Colorectal, Vascular and Upper gastrointestinal surgeries.

You will be a point of contact for administrative issues relating to predominantly Colorectal Surgery patients' pathway, working as part of a multidisciplinary team and will provide expertise in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organized individual to provide administrative support to the General Surgery Service.

You will need to have excellent IT skills, be comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues at all levels and work quickly and accurately under pressure.

You will be responsible and accountable for consistently and accurately carrying out your duties as well as the provision of a high quality and efficient service; providing this in a confident and courteous way to service users.

To be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients’ pathway of care.

To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide support in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.

The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact.

To provide a consistent approach across the Trust, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will describe how the functions of the role will be carried out, along with the timescales to which are to be adhered.
