**Your new company**
Was established over 50 years ago and have grown considerably since then. They enjoy an excellent reputation as a leading employer in the Northwest. Hays have been appointed by this company to recruit a HR Officer to join their long-established HR team. Thisis a 12-month position. This position offers a 4 day week.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the HR Manager, as HR Officer you will make a significant contribution to the company by providing a professional and comprehensive HR and training service to staff and management. In your role as HR Officer, you will provide advice and informationto staff and line management in all matters of legislation and in house policy relating to the HR and Training function. Your key responsibilities as HR Officer will include: Recruitment & Selection of staff, Training & Development, Provision of advice tofront line managers, Management of employee relations, Performance Management, Occupational Health / Absence Management, Equality, Health, safety & well-being and general HR issues.
**What you'll need to succeed**
As HR Officer, essentially, you will have a 3rd level qualification with CIPD Level 5 (and willing to undertake CIPD Level 7 qualification). You must be able to demonstrate generalist experience in the areas outlined above and possess excellent knowledge ofcurrent employment legislation, relevant codes of Practice and best practice within HR. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at all levels of the business. You will be proficient in Microsoftsuite. Work well within a team. Have a current driving licence and access to a car.
