**Position**:
This exciting Parent Peer worker role will to be active member of the Steering Group for the Together to Thrive Project in **Dundee** and will work in collaboration with the steering group members and the project delivery team to advise and support on a ‘test and learn’ project which aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children (aged 5-11) with neuro developmental needs, by adapting and redirecting support from specialist mental services to community-based settings.
- Please note, although it’s advertised for the Glasgow office this role will be home-based in **Dundee**.

**What does the role involve?**
- Act as a Parent representative for the Together to Thrive Steering Group.
- Reading relevant materials and papers which inform the development and design of the project.
- Having an understanding of the project plan.
- Advise and support the Project development Team on key stages of the project plan and how best to support participation of families and ensure supports and information is accessible to families.

**Requirements**:
**What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic parent who is interested in shaping the design of access to supports for families ideally would are seeking someone who has:

- Lived experience of being parent of a child with neuro diverse needs
- Knowledge of and connections with other families who have accessed or are seeking support from CAMHs
- The Occupational Requirement for this role states that applicants must have lived experience of parenting / caring for a child with neurodiverse needs or behaviour that challenges.

Please note that for safeguarding purposes, all our roles require a DBS/PVG check. Also, we are unable to provide sponsorship for this post, you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK.
