We deliver a high-quality stimulating play opportunities for school age children in a safe, caring school environment. We provide an exciting and fun space in which to play, socialise, try out new things after school or just spend quiet time.

Play is freely chosen by the children. self-directed play is integral to playwork and all playwork settings aim to encourage children and young people to decide and control the content and intent of their play by following their own instincts, ideas and interests.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, fun, caring, reliable, honest individual to join our workforce. You must a natural ability to engage effectively with school aged children.

Duties include:

- The safe collection of children at the end of the school day
- Preparing snack for the children
- Engaging with the children during play and participating in activities.
- Working with the children to plan fun, imaginative & interesting activities and to evaluate these activities afterwards
- Setting up the play area at the start of the session & clearing away at the end
- Building positive relationships with the children and their parents/carers
- Ensuring the children's safety at all times and supporting the children to manage risk in their play choices

Maintain children's individual care plans
- Ensuring that the children voices are heard by listening to their views and giving them opportunities to contribute to the operations of the club
- Following the professional standards, policies and procedures as outlined by the Company, The Care Inspectorate and SSSC to ensure that a quality service is provided.

Training covered is: 1st Aid, Infection Control: Child Protection.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: From £9.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
