East Anglia is a beautiful and diverse part of the country at the forefront of a changing climate. The Great Ouse catchment within East Anglia sits within the nationally significant Oxford-Cambridge Growth Arc and contains flood and drainage infrastructure going back 450 years to the original drainage of the Fens. This presents a significant challenge that this role will play a key part in addressing.

The team works across the Great Ouse catchment and North West Norfolk coast and has a wide-ranging remit that includes strategic planning, spatial planning, environmental permitting, data management, mapping and modelling, project development and advisory services, partnership working and community engagement. Through these activities we seek to manage the risk of flooding to the communities we serve.

You’ll be an accomplished communicator with experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and having difficult conversations whilst being comfortable in the face of challenge.
Ideally, you’ll also have experience in leading people through change.
The role profile, whilst relevant, it is not specifically tailored to this position. This advert provides you with details of key accountabilities and skills needed to succeed in this role.
- Contact and additional information- In East Anglia we want to create a diverse workplace where individuals are respected, valued and listened to. We’re all different, and by embracing Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) we can become an equal opportunity employer where we grow and learn together.
It is our ambition to champion diversity through building a workforce as diverse as the communities we serve.
