The College of Human Sciences, through the University, has formally linked with the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board enabling an integrated approach to developing research, training, medical and healthcare education that will serve the needs of North Wales.

School of Medical and Health Sciences

The Interprofessional School of Medical and Health Sciences is the focus for medical and healthcare education and research at Bangor University. The School offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, short courses for healthcare and allied professionals, as well as a range of medical research opportunities.

Building on the strengths of Bangor and Cardiff University higher education provision, the medicine programme is currently delivered through a collaborative approach, creating an excellent medical education environment that stimulates students to become excellent doctors who will be embedded within the communities they serve, including the rural and urban communities of North Wales.

Purpose of the Job

This post within the College of Human Sciences is to provide an administrative service, engaging and completing a range of routine tasks to meet operational and customer service requirements. The primary focus of the role is to support the medicine programme and the role holder is supervised by the Administrative Officer for that programme.

Main

**Responsibilities**:

- Under the supervision of the administrative lead undertake a variety of administration tasks as directed, across a range of locations based on operational requirements.- To be an active member of the administration function, building and maintaining good working relationships with other members of the team in order to ensure an understanding of priorities and deadlines.- Contribute to the development of, and work to, agreed service standards for the team.-
- Deal with day - to - day administrative enquiries in an accurate, timely and sensitive manner, escalating more complex issues to the Administrator(s)/Line Manager.- Maintenance of electronic information systems, including data entry, timetables and production of electronic documents for students.- Provide support for the processing of coursework.- Provide support for University scheduled examinations, and those scheduled within the School and hosted at partner premises.- Provide support for attendance/engagement monitoring.- Undertake the processing of a variety of tasks as directed and to agreed timescales; these are likely to be online high volume transactions, or well defined processes/procedures related to course administration, examinations and assessment, or enrolment activity.- Provide assistance with the updating of handbooks, and other documentation as required.- Assist with University events such as open days, registration, enrolment, ID checking events and graduation as required.- Undertake other such duties commensurate with the grade and at other Bangor University locations as directed by line management.Other
