**Lincolnshire County Council's East Lindsey Early Help Team** are recruiting to three **full time permanent Early Help Worker positions** based in Skegness.

**About the Role**

**The East Lindsey Early Help Team** provide support and intervention to children, young people and families according to their needs. Our** Early Help Workers** work directly with parents and carers as well as children and young people on a one-to-one and group basis; delivering evidence-based interventions, including parenting programs.

Also responsible for ensuring the needs of children/young people and their families are appropriately assessed using a range of methods, then working with the family and other professionals to help them produce a plan of how the issues or concerns can be addressed in a comprehensive and coordinated way.

The **Early Help Team in East Lindsey** offers an opportunity for you to become part of a dynamic, multi skilled and enthusiastic team. We are dedicated to providing support and intervention to families so they can make positive changes that improve the lives of children.

**About You**

Knowledge and skills required (not exhaustive)
- Ability to advocate, negotiate and challenge on behalf of families in a variety of settings
- Ability to undertake family assessments, develop plans and deliver needs lead packages of support
- Ability to act as a Lead Professional for a family where appropriate with responsibility for the day to day implementation and coordination of the family plan
- To be a key team player and work closely with staff members and specialist workers from other agencies, local authorities and organisations
- The Postholder will require excellent written and oral communication to enable them to support and challenge both families and other professionals in order to achieve sustainable change. Report writing is a key element of the role.

The post holders will be required to travel and work in a timely and flexible manner to undertake the duties of the role and there is some element of evening and weekend work where cases require it. The Early Help Team work with children and young people both short and long term within the Team Around the Child (TAC), Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Children In Care (CIC) arena's.

The role includes a certain amount of agile working and travel to and from LCC bases, other agency offices and visiting family homes.
