An exciting 6 month secondment opportunity has become available to cover the Head of Operations for Mid and South Essex. This covers three main hub areas; Chelmsford, Basildon & Southend.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Chief Operating Officer of the Trust, you will have a focus and passion for driving change for patient benefit. The service is at a critical point and the successful applicant will play an integral role in the improvement journey to take the trust out of special measures and achieve our vision of providing outstanding care, with exceptional people every hour of every day.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead a team aspiring to foster a culture of improvement and to support a shift in organisational culture making EEAST an exceptional place to work while providing outstanding quality of care and performance.

The Care Quality Commission has rated the care patients receive as outstanding - staff demonstrate compassion and respect whilst promoting patient dignity and respecting individual needs, patients are involved in their care and treatment, and staff act with the utmost professionalism and support patients and the public in the most trying of circumstances to provide positive outcomes.
- Meeting and improving key performance, quality and personal targets contributing to the achievement of the Service Plan.
- 100% of Annual Performance Reviews, appraisals and Personal Development Plans completed to time and in line with the agreed policy.
- Improving employee satisfaction results as measured by the Staff Survey, notably engagement and communications.
- Improving staff retention, attendance and performance management of group of staff.
- Meeting patient and internal complaints targets; focusing on continuous improvement by actively implementing those improvements learned from outcomes.
- Achieving budget and financial targets and making efficiencies where appropriate
- Managing corporate risk including supervising and investigating Serious Incidents; taking mitigating actions and embedding learning from the events, including actions to prevent any re-occurrence.
