- Reporting into the European Tax Director and Global Head of Tax, the UK tax team has a continuing need to evolve to meet the needs of a growing organisation. To faciliate this the team focuses on providing an efficient and accurate tax reporting and compliance service whilst also acting in an advisory capacity to the businesses to ensure Teledyne's statutory obligations are met.With 2 direct reports this hands-on role is responsible for:
Coordination of Senior Accounting Officer and Tax Strategy Reporting across all taxes**Corporate Tax**
- Preparation of current and deferred tax estimates for statutory (annual) and group reporting purposes (monthly & quarterly) and associated accounting entries- Reconciliation of Corporation Tax Payable GL Accounts- Estimation of quarterly payments on account and maintenance of Group Payment Arrangement- Preparation of corporate tax computations including Patent Box, R&D tax credits- Provision of tax related information to Group tax team, as required- Lead contact with HMRC and tax advisors**VAT**
- Preparation and submission of UK monthly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation- Reconciliation of VAT payable/receivable GL accounts- Lead contact with HMRC and tax advisors- Maintenance of VAT reporting in SAP4Hana and compliance with MTD**Other duties**
- Form 42 & withholding tax form submissions- In addition to UK responsibilities the role will also have group tax reporting responsibilities for e2v's Asian operations and tax compliance at e2v's Hong Kong legal entity- Input to cross-functional teams on Corporate legal entity restructurings- Providing technical support to business for new business flows, including VAT, Corporation Tax and transfer pricing aspects- Ad hoc projects**Qualifications**:

- Hands on individual who is a strong team player with a flexible and can do approach. Excellent planning and organisational skills required together with excellent written and verbal skillsHands on experience of preparing VAT and Corporation Tax returns, experience of RDEC claims would be advantageous.- Tax accounting experience, including preparation of journals and GL reconciliations- Minimum of intermediate level Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) skills- Experience of ERP system, ideally SAP4Hana, would be advantageous- Experience of Tax software, ideally AlphaTax, would be advantageous
