The Supporting Healthy Weight Team are recruiting this role to develop and deliver Public Health Projects from services supporting first foods (Little food explorers) to educational cookery sessions for families (Little Chefs & Tri Cookery) as part of the A Better Medway services. These focus on the delivery of outcomes and ambitions highlighted in national and local strategies including reducing childhood obesity in Medway.

The position will be responsible for the development and delivery of community food projects to Medway’s residents. The role will play a key part in training and building positive relationships with local partners, educational settings and other venues, ranging from children’s and family hubs, school leads, and other charity or community settings.

This role will play a key part in building Medway’s Food Partnership and driving forward the food poverty agenda within this.

As a Project Officer this role will manage two Coordinator’s to implement the delivery of community food services across Medway, meeting key objectives and targets to improve the health of Medway residents.

Essential Qualifications
- Degree level study or equivalent evidence of continual professional development.
- Nutrition qualification

Desirable Qualification
- UKPHR Practitioner registration or evidence of working towards registration.
