Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Buyer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Thame.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Supply Chain Buyer to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Purchasing of materials at the best price for production in line with MRP System recommended orders.
- Purchasing of materials at the best price for design, development, special projects, administration etc.
- Expedite outstanding Purchase orders including purchase order re-scheduling and amending dates on MRP system as appropriate.
- Establish and manage long term supplier relationships to maximize Purchasing effectiveness.
- Actively Identify and evaluate new sources of supply to obtain lower costs whilst maintaining high levels of quality.
- Manage / report on supplier performance for OTD and Quality.
- Carry out Audits, FAI and quarterly reviews of Suppliers.
- Manage and communicate shortages or other prohibiting issues to the relevant departments in the business, ensuring Customer delivery dates and project plans are maintained.
- Manage accurate stock levels in the business in line with the budgeted levels. Monitor and de-risk SMOP (Slow moving and Obsolete Parts).
- Manage supply chain agreements (Supplier contracts) including delivery (Call off, blanket etc.) and Cost agreements for volume.
- Resolving Invoice and delivery queries.
- Manage non-conformities (NCR) and returns with suppliers as well as maintaining accurate dates on the MRP system.
- Issue control of drawings and other documentation to Suppliers.
- Maintenance of supplier records on 123 MRP System and general purchasing records and reports
- Manage / understand IS (BASEEFA) requirements with suppliers.
- Manage the plan, capacity loading and the processing of works orders and generation of kit lists.
- Support Production to ensure smooth work flow to adhere to MRP dates.
- Work to department procedures and objectives.
- Support business partners in consolidating suppliers and achieving cost down.
- May be required to undertake any other duties as specified by the Line Manager to meet Business needs.

**Experience/Qualifications**:
Qualifications - Ideally qualified in CIPS or other higher education relevant to Electro-Mechanical competency with relevant work experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential): Must have at least 3-5 years' experience working as a Buyer / Planner in an Electro-Mechanical Company with a proven sound working knowledge of purchasing, Supplier Contracts, planning and stock Management.
