As Stock and Space Planning Manager at Unipart your role will maintain and improve all aspects of stock control. You will have responsibility to drive the business to operational excellence by using good auditable processes, compliance and stock managementskills; and will manage a stock team, ensuring all agreed SLA and KPI’s are consistently achieved.
**As part of your key responsibilities you will**:

- Deliver stock integrity strategy in line with the annual stock projects
- Manage, engage and develop a stock team ensuring effective stock control and placement procedures are implemented throughout the business and all agreed SLA, internal/external KPI’s are consistently achieved
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders promoting awareness of stock risk with appropriate focus on mitigation of risk and continuous improvement
- Utilise excellent influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills to challenge risks, emphasising on logical argument to reach amicable solutions
- Promote operational excellence throughout the supply chain at UL, ensuring that controls are robust, deliver stock excellence and are reviewed on a regular basis with operational management
- Own and drive activity of Unipart Way systems in the stock team ensuring that The Unipart Way Principles are embedded in the way we work and that The Unipart Way tools and techniques are fully integrated and driving change
- Drive improvements in stock accuracy and deliver Stock Count Process across
- Lead improvements regarding space to improve operational efficiencies, quality and utilisation
- Follow-through on action plans deriving from issue resolution allocating ownership where applicable, instigating effective root cause analysis to sustain results

**About You**
- Previous experience of stock management and control in the logistics / supply chain industry in sectors such as automotive, rail, aerospace, defence, consumer, healthcare, and technology
- Able to persuade, influence and negotiate through effective communication and gravitas
- Fully IT literate in Microsoft Office and / or Google Suite
- Proven logical thinker with skills in understanding and interpreting data
- Proven commitment to self-development and team development
- Proven experience of adapting to and leading programmes of change
- Project management experience is an advantage

Working experience of The Unipart Way or similar lean / continuous improvement tools and techniques would be an advantage
