Loss Prevention Operations Assistant

Based in our Chester Support Centre, this role is Monday to Friday (6 hours per day) with flexibility to work from home as role requires it.
You will be working as part of a team of Accuracy and Loss Operations supporting the Sell More Lose Less approach to reducing Stock loss.

**About the role**

Your key accountabilities will include_ :_
- Identify cash loss and stock loss on a daily basis (working on a rota basis 5 days per week) and make interventions to reduce gross and net movements in cash and stock loss across M&S plc.
- Create and run daily/weekly/adhoc reporting to provide senior business leaders insight on how cash and stock loss are performing.
- Work with the Accuracy and Loss Development Managers to provide analysis on trials and identify themes of loss.
- Support Accuracy and Loss Coaches with insight they can further use to probe processes.
- Deliver analysis on trials and support Accuracy and Loss Development Managers with insight and identify themes of loss.
- Answer store questions on cash and stock loss.
- Answer questions from the Food and Clothing & Home Business Unit teams on stock loss. Work with.the Business Unit teams to help them understand stock loss for their products.
- Ask stores questions about their cash and stock loss to ensure that cash and stock loss is understood. Make interventions with stores to ensure they have accurate stock and cash accounting.
- Ask the Food and Clothing & Home Business Unit teams questions about stock loss on their products to ensure that stock loss is understood. Make interventions with the Business Unit teams to ensure they accurately undertake processes that impact stock accounting.
- Work with the Accuracy and Loss Development Managers to constantly adapt ways of working to maximise the return of Loss Prevention Operations.
- Create and maintain training materials and support a transfer of knowledge to others in the Loss Prevention team. Develop and monitor KPIs for stock loss in Foods Be the business owner of all management information and reporting on Foods stock loss.
- Stay abreast of loss prevention industry developments and opportunities to enhance M&S capabilities in minimising stock loss in Foods and Clothing & Home.

- Excellent MS Office skills including
- Power BI
- Strong technical knowledge of stock management systems (and preferably finance systems)
- People, networking skills, inside the Business and with 3ro parties
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
