We're on the lookout for a Principal Transport Planner for our well-established client on a temporary basis for 2 months.
**About the role**:
As a Principal Transport Planner, you will be responsible for:

- Assist the Infrastructure Locality Lead in the management of the team.
- Represent the Infrastructure Locality Lead and Growth Manager at project and other working group meetings and at partnership meetings to ensure the opinions of the team and the organisation are represented.
- Lead the development, commissioning and implementation of transport projects and studies, including those conducted by external consultants, taking responsibility for their day to day management within complex programmes as required in accordance with theorganisations project management guidelines.
- Prepare business cases for transport interventions and secure funding for infrastructure. Requiring an understanding of economic appraisal and transport modelling.
- Provide input into the preparation of strategic transport plans and secure funding for infrastructure, requiring an understanding of economic appraisal and transport modelling.
- Provide high-quality and timely responses on the transport implications of development proposals, local plans and other policies and strategies through all stages of the organisations consultations.
- Establish good working relationships with key partners.
- Maintain awareness of changes of policy, legislation and of government initiatives and keep team members and colleagues informed of such changes.
- Ensure health and safety is a key consideration in all project management.
- To project manage schemes and budgets where necessary.
- To deliver excellent customer.
- To work evenings and weekends on a very occasional basis.
- Such other duties as may be required and agreed with the post holder.

**Working Hours**:09:00am to 17:00pm
**Hourly rate**:£40.16 per hour

- Excellent organisational and customer service skills
- Project management experience
