What will my role look like?

EG Group is looking for a Creative Designer, with a strong focus on innovative flair, incredibly detail orientated, with an eye for precision. The design team at EG Group support the growing list of foodservice brands, both partner and proprietary as well as our grocery and merchandise business. We also manage the design of all our communications assets including menu boards, posters, internal communication assets and web pages.

The Creative Designer will play an important role in delivering motion and graphic solutions across the entire business. They must be passionate about all things design; online, offline, animation, with experience in creative motion design and art working a huge bonus.

This is a diverse role as there is a constant demand on design time with various departments requesting time sensitive projects and peaks around our foodservice seasonal menu launches and promotions.

This is a unique, full-time position based at EG Group’s Head Office in Blackburn, with opportunities to learn, develop and grow. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading independent convenience retailers, which places huge value on its design and creative and genuinely cares about looking after its people

What would my main responsibilities be?

Work as part of EG Group’s Creative Design team, reporting to the Senior Creative Designer
Maintain professional, personable relationships with key internal stakeholders at Head Office and across our Brand Partners
Act as our brand guardian and steward; making sure EG Group is always on-brand across all departments, communications and design
Evolve our brands over time
Aid the digitalisation of the business by providing video and animation content to our Digital team for our various Foodservice brands and Grocery & Merchandise business
Manage and evolve the design of our menu boards and menu promotions
Creatively direct any photoshoots or filming taking place across EG Group and our brand partners
Work alongside our Marketing team to develop content for our Social Media channels
Manage our image libraries
Go above and beyond to deliver results

Who you are

A designer with minimum of 3 years’ experience client-side, with an agency, or freelance
Competent and confident in Adobe CS; particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects
Motion Graphic skills would be hugely beneficial and key for future growth of EG Group
EG Group has an entrepreneurial flair, and naturally has a very fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to meet deadlines and be flexible when it comes to prioritising tasks due to business demands
Comfortable working across digital and print design projects
You have a sharp eye for detail and won’t shy away from process and helping manage projects well - from a budget and timing perspective
