Gilkes is looking for an experienced **Sales Administrator** to join our well-established engineering organisation, based in our head office in Kendal, Cumbria. **This is a fixed term contract for maternity cover and will span over 12-15 months**.

Reporting directly to the Head of Sales (Pumps) you will contribute to the sales administration process daily. This role plays a key part in supporting the success of the sales team to grow the business and promote Gilkes brand.

The role has the following key elements:

- **Communication** - ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
- **Managing Data - **ensuring data accuracy across all platforms.
- **Relationships** - maintaining and building relationships with clients and customers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Data entry into our ERP system ensuing accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the sales team to ensure data is provided consistently and provide challenge where appropriate.
- Handling customer requests, enquiries, and complaint escalations.
- Compile and distribute weekly sales figures.
- Assist sales manager with commercial data.
- Responding to invoice queries.

**Experience/personal skills**

We are looking for a **proficient administrator** who possesses the required organisation and customer service skills to interact with internal and external key stakeholders. You will have previous experience in a similar role working to tight deadlines with a can-do positive attitude.
- Advanced levels of numeracy and literacy (A level, NVQ level 3 and 4 or equivalent).
- Strong administrative experience will be required for this role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; especially Excel.
- Working knowledge of relevant ERP systems.
- High levels of tact & diplomacy in all written and verbal communications.
