**Mergon UK currently has a vacancy for an Accounts Administrator/Assistant**

**Key Responsibilities will include**:
The main purpose of this role is to maintain an up-to-date purchase ledger and to provide management and staff with timely and accurate information to ensure the smooth running of the business.

**Main tasks**:
You will be responsible for processing purchase invoices/GRN/carriage log and accruals

in a timely and accurate manner. You will be required to produce weekly added value reports as well as any ad-hoc reports requested by management. You will assist in completing month end process.

You will also be required to:

- Communicate regularly with suppliers.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Assist in payments to suppliers.
- Month end accruals

As part of a small team there will be times when you will be required:

- To provide holiday and absence cover for the running of the weekly payroll.
- To provide holiday and absence cover for the Sales Ledger.
- To answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- To maintain a tidy office and workspace at all times.
- To complete any other appropriate task requested by a member of the management.**Skills Required**:

- Use of Office 365, Outlook, Excel
- Sage experience would be an advantage
- Polite and friendly telephone manner
- Reliable, punctual, and good at timekeeping
- Interest to grow and develop this role
