Are you a highly motivated individual with a ‘can do’ attitude and enthusiasm that inspires others? Greater Manchester Police is one of the biggest police forces in the UK, with approximately 12,000 officers and staff, and are currently looking to recruit a Senior Database Administrator. Working as part of the Operations Team, you will help to support front line policing, keeping the people of Greater Manchester safe.

**Requirements**:
Excellent understanding of database infrastructure, maintenance, administration and design
A deep understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
Experience of Cloud database deployments on Microsoft Azure, Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed instance would be beneficial
Experience in troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues that involve database infrastructure
Experience with Power BI would be beneficial
Ability to complete database infrastructure installations and upgrades
Ability to research new or alternative database technologies
Possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with outside agencies, customers and team members
