Breast Imaging Radiographic Assistant

This is a truly exciting time to join our team as we work towards launching our newly developed £10m Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) that will deliver first-class diagnostic care to our community.
The new centre will have the ability to deliver joined up diagnostic care, and with increased capacity this will ensure our patients will have faster access to treatment, earlier diagnosis, and improved outcomes.

Our Radiographic Assistants are key to providing support to the staff and patients in the department to ensure smooth running in all areas of our high quality service. Duties for this post include bookings, checking in of patients and direct support for patients.
Enthusiasm, flexibility and the ability to work within defined protocols but also have the ability to use your own initiative if required are essential. Up-to-date computer skills are vital and basic medical terminology and ability to use CRIS would be advantageous, but full training will be given.
Ensure the maintenance of high standards of care in an environment, which promotes equality, emotional support, and sensitivity for all individuals.
Care provided must be in adherence to departmental, local, and national policies.
To adhere and maintain the required level of competencies within Breast Imaging.
The applicant needs to be able to demonstrate a professionally courteous ability to meet and greet patients both face to face and via the telephone.
No clinical qualification necessary, but NVQ3 in Healthcare would be an advantage.
Assist in the maintenance of high-quality patient care, for patients requiring interventional procedures. Setting up of trolleys for complex procedures using an aseptic technique. Caring for patient’s comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times
Ensure that relationships and own behaviour are managed in line with the Behavioural Framework competencies.
