The Senior People Partner is a member of the People directorate, reporting to the People Partner Manager, with responsibility for managing a team of People Partners and People Advisors.

The Senior People Partner role is a strategic link between People Strategy and Trust leadership teams and as such will be required to support the implementation and progression of the Trust strategic direction as well as local priorities and challenges.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the People Operations team provide a high quality service to the Trust, and will work closely with People Partners and Trust leadership teams in taking responsibility for continued and improved performance across a range of workforce metrics.

You will work with People data to identify themes and trends and then proactively make recommendations that lead and drive employee engagement performance and retention, and provide professional expertise to coach People Partners to minimise risk in employee relations matters.

You will join a large and diverse team of People Partners and HR Advisors, providing support and guidance across the Trust. The team are spread geographically, but are a close-knit team meeting regularly both virtually and face to face.

These roles can be based anywhere in the Trust area, but will require regular travel to Trust sites.

Managing a team of People Partners and People Advisors, ensuring that all role requirements are met, maintaining an overview of SLA’s, providing professional advice and guidance in the management of employee relations issues. Coaching, mentoring and guiding team members to build capability and performance.

Provide effective management information and analysis on ER trends, make recommendations on policy change, and develop and implement strategies.

Act as Senior People Partner to allocated directorates, senior management and their teams, and support the team to develop a thorough understanding of the business plans and HR issues to ensure that workforce requirements are identified and support is planned and delivered in a timely basis.

Use professional expertise to coach the team as required, to provide professional senior advice, guidance and support to help them provide expert advice and support on employee relations issues. This includes offering legal, terms and conditions advice, or providing expert advice on highly complex or sensitive cases.

Remain curious and enthusiastic in relation to developing people strategies, to ensure the aim of “ The right people, with the skills, in the right place at the right time” is central. Be innovative, creative and pragmatic in how to meet this aim.
