**Job Description: Head of Training & Qualifications
**Job Purpose**

The IWFM Academy delivers both regulated qualifications, Levels 2, 3 and 4 via a digital platform, IWFM
Direct (being replaced in 2023), Level 6 via a face to face delivery methodology as well as a range of
unregulated cpd short training provision delivered through both open and in-house courses.

As the professional body for workplace and facilities management professionals, IWFM has a robust set of
professional standards that define the competence for professionals at each stage of their career journey.
We have exciting plans for the IWFM Academy as we look to rapidly expand and enhance the product
portfolio to meet the requirements of the standards and to upskill the profession to ensure it continues to
remain impactful in the world of work.

We are looking for a commercially astute training and qualifications manager.

You will have experience growing and overseeing the delivery of regulated qualifications and training
provision directly to the end customer. You will be a strong all-rounder, able to ensure IWFM continues to
meet the requirements of a regulated centre, strong product knowledge with experience of the
development of learner management systems, end to end delivery of the learner journey through
registration, delivery, assessment, moderation and certification, coupled with the commercial acumen to
grow the Academy’s bottom line across the UK. You will have also had experience managing a network of
external contracted trainers.

The role will have line management responsibility for two co-ordinators, one responsible for qualifications
and one responsible for short courses.

The postholder will be required to maintain a thorough knowledge of IWFM qualifications, IWFM Direct
standard operating procedures and our Centre Agreement.

**Key Accountabilities
- Maintain IWFM’s Regulated Centre status ensuring the highest standards of delivery across the

entire learner journey (registration, delivery, assessment, moderation, certification, standardisation
and appeals).
- Work with IWFM’s chosen contractor to lead the implementation of IWFM’s new Learner

Management System, ensuring that key stakeholders (e.g., assessors and tutors) are engaged and
bought-into its development.
- Maintain excellent relationships with assessors, tutors and the IWFM Awarding Organisation to

ensure the highest standard of delivery for IWFM learners.
- Introduce and chair an Academy Advisory Panel of learning experts

- Expand the Academy short course portfolio, introducing both own brand and third party owned

products to meet the requirements of the IWFM professional standards, prioritising development
against business need and evidenced return on investment.
- Expand and manage the network of tutors, being sensitive to the existing network while increasing

IWFM’s capacity to deliver at scale across the UK initially and then in key global territories.
- Ensure product pricing is continually reviewed against market need and competitor movement.
- When required, engage with external clients to support them to understand which IWFM

programmes of training and qualifications would be best placed to deliver their strategic objectives.
- Recruit, manage and provide leadership, learning and support opportunities to the team ensuring

they managed against agreed objectives in line with the IWFM strategy.
- Own the customer value proposition for learners maintaining a thorough and evidenced based

understanding of their needs and motivations.
