Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) is an origination and coverage business operating across the UK and North America and is responsible for the overall management of businesses whose annual turnover exceeds £100m.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Director to join our Sponsors & Structured Finance (S&SF) Loan Sales team. You'll provide distribution expertise to the wider S&SF syndicate and origination teams across all sectors including Strategic Debt Finance, Sponsors, I&PF, Corporate, CRE and FI/NBFI.

You'll be a key contributor to the overall business plan working closely with the Desk Head and other parts of S&SF to ensure syndicated loans are appropriately priced / distributed and that activity is aligned to the goals and values of the Group. Your role encompasses all aspects of loan distribution including presenting liquidity options on pitches for new primary transactions, the end to end sales process including the execution of post syndication sell down and supporting the Banks balance sheet management aims via secondary sales and purchases.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Being an ambassador of Lloyds Bank S&SF team, working closely with the wider Loan Syndicate teams and key partners for the S&SF.
- Acting as a source of professional expertise in loan distribution and the management of market risk positions, which will include providing coaching, leadership and direction to junior team members.
- Contributing and supporting the delivery of the Originate to Distribute strategy.
- Providing expert advice and mentorship to support CIC’s active portfolio management approach - proactively managing RWA/credit risks via secondary market sales and purchases.
- Presenting to the S&SF Underwriting Panel to ensure that transactions meet Bank and Market requirements for price, structure and liquidity.
- Maintaining personal knowledge of the loan product and market developments and share intel with internal partners.
- Proactively promoting Lloyds in the market place, building and maintaining a variety of investor contacts and sharing intel debt domain and arranging investor networking events.
- Assisting in the production of marketing materials such as market updates, transaction case studies, press releases, e-media etc. for internal and external use.
- Advising and implementing distressed auctions

Essential Skills:

- Expert knowledge of syndicated loan market and the investor community
- Proven understanding of wider financial markets.
- Analytical and credit risk appraisal skills.
- Motivated self-starter with team player characteristics.
- CISI qualifications in Regulation, Securities and Derivatives will need to be passed within six months of commencing in role if not already held.
