Marine and Tunnel Planner

**About the role**
The Marine and Tunnel Planner role is to assist the Senior Planner to work with the
Planning Lead and the SZC wider teams and take responsibility for developing,
coordinating and monitoring the project programme and controls for Marine and
Tunnelling works. The Marine and Tunnel Planner is a key member of the team to deliver
the civil works and will provide both detailed and strategic inputs for time related matters.
**What you'll be doing**
Planning and managing the development, change and improvement of the Marine and
Tunnel Works Schedule and providing planning guidance to the project and
programme team.
Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning
procedures and guidance. Ensuring that the Contract Programme is produced,
managed and maintained in accordance with the planning procedures.
Develop and agree by collaboration a logical sequence and methodology ensuring that
the most efficient design, procurement & construction strategy is adopted for the
delivery of the works.
Supporting the lead planner in the implementation and maintenance of project
controls processes for scheduling, including the production of monthly reports,
through the provision of intelligent information and analysis.
Producing and documenting the planning deliverables including programmes, planning
philosophy, presentations and reports alongside producing the contract programme
and supporting information in accordance with the contract requirements.
Providing support, as required to the BIM Co-ordinators to meet the project
requirements.
Displaying and evaluating the project critical path and advise the project team of the
results and any appropriate corrective action.
Assisting in the trend and change process, including analysis of schedule impact,
develop mitigation options, providing basic commentary and analysis.
Producing and maintaining project baselines and execute the change control process
as appropriate.
Liaise with site team and supply chain to check on progress, issues and review planned
progress to ensure programme maintained.
Provide commercial advice when reviewing supplier schedules per NEC/ implications
on production / productivity/programme issues.

Resource Management: Expertise in managing labour, equipment, and materials
efficiently to meet project objectives while minimizing costs and delays.
**Who we're looking for**
Essential
- Degree or other industry recognised qualification in Construction Management, Civil
Engineering or similar related sector.
- Experience in the production and management of Construction Programmes in a civil
engineering/ Infrastructure environment. Preferably on medium to large scale
infrastructure civil projects
- Experience in planning maritime and tunnelling works.
Desirable
- CIOB/MICE Membership
- 4D/Synchro Modelling
