Nautical Itinerary Planner

As a Nautical Itinerary Planner, you’ll be responsible for providing maritime expertise in the creation and detailing of new itineraries, support our day-to-day operations as required, provide input and inspiration to the product teams on sailing areas, destinations and itineraries.
You will plot and verify itineraries including detailed research on local conditions, research and follow up any marine operations related questions that arise in the planning process, conduct risk assessments on itineraries from the marine operations side to Identify, track and execute on the operational and marine regulatory requirements of our destinations, to ensure we are compliant to all regulations.
Support the shoreside/shipboard operations team on solving ad-hoc day-to-day challenges.

As the Nautical Itinerary Planner at Hurtigruten Expeditions, your role will be responsible to provide nautical input to future itineraries and support the product teams ensuring we have the knowledge to enter new and exciting expedition destinations around the world.
The Nautical Planner will support the shipboard and shoreside operation to secure a sound and safe daily operation of all our ships.
**Essential**:
- Bachelors' degree in Nautical Science
- At least 5 years in the maritime / cruise / expedition industries
- Experience of deployment and voyage planning
- Expert knowledge of Navtor, Navtracker, Navstation or similar planning tool.
- Expert computer and software skills
- Fluent in English, oral and written

- Exposure to the Expedition cruise segment with focus on Polar Waters
