**The Role**
The purpose of the role is to manage the day-to-day operations of the mailing and shipping processes. This will include working with external carriers to organise daily deliveries and collections, monitoring shipping sla’s, and ensuring Harrier are providing the correct pre advice and documents for all exports. This person will be responsible for managing and overseeing the logistics and shipping activities within the organization, ensuring that products and goods are delivered in a timely manner.
The applicant will be required to support and work alongside the Logistics Team Leaders in the management of the Despatch department. This will include covering for the Logistics Manager and Team Leaders during planned and unplanned absences.
This is a fast paced, active and hands on role that will contribute to the overall success and objectives of the department.
**Key responsibilities and tasks**
Develop, implement, and update logistics policies and procedures.
Monitor and manage orders through the network process.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
Monitor inventory and update reports.
Support and work alongside the Logistics, Procurement and Warehouse teams
Analysis shipping data and costings from external carriers
Effectively communication with team, support staff and managers
To produce work to service level agreements
Work and coordinate with external carrier teams
